this is a blog to document progress of michael capparelli's character modeling class at gnomon school of visual effects. the class is taught by mark dedecker, who will be the primary reader of these posts. hi mark!

base mesh assignment for week one.  kind of late. 

the form is solid. but i’m having some trouble with ear face paths.  i got one that isolates the ear and another that sections off the whole side of the head, but i don’t know if they need to be edge loops or facepaths to be UV friendly.  hopefully it doesn’t matter, but if you could point out some better ways of routing the ear or face, let me know.
